“One person can make a difference and everyone should try!”

The first week of May was Community Helper Week! Grade 1 students in Mrs. Pollett’s, Mrs. Moysey’s, Ms. Cadman’s, Ms. Wytinck’s and Ms. Khandani’s Classes had the opportunity to meet and learn from some very special visitors! These visitors included: Fire Fighter Nick, Police Officer Jennings, Police Officer Robinson and Dr. Al and Dr. Jenny (Optometrists). Students learned by: asking questions, watching videos, slide show presentations, short stories, having a close look at eye lenses, and sitting in a Police Car. Students also talked about community helpers very close to them; the wonderful Almadina Moms! “Our Moms are very special to us and help us grow and learn!” Stay tuned for more updates from our fun and fabulous Grade One Team!
