Remembrance Day Assembly

Almadina Ogden Campus had a Remembrance Day Assembly on Friday, November 8, 2019. There, each homeroom presented their class wreaths and listened to a guest speaker. We were so lucky to have a Veteran of our Canadian Services come and speak to our school. "Our Canadian soldiers now spend time being Peace Keepers," he explained.

Grade 6 Students Vote!

Students in grade 6 learned about our federal voting procedure and that voting is entrenched in our Charter of Rights and Freedoms. A majority of students took part in the Canadian wide 'Student Vote' program and so did our grade 6 students!

In October the grade three students had the experience of being “kid geologists” during their Don’t Take Rocks For Granite in class science field trip. Grade 9 LA Projects

In grade 9 LA, students had to create a project where they had to reflect on themselves, character, identity, family, interests, goals and ambitions. Students presented these beautiful projects allowing class members to better understand and appreciate each other more. They did a fantastic job!  

School Conscience Virtue and Assembly

Almadina started its school year with the virtue of conscience. Through our school focused literature, A Bike Like Sergio’s, the students explored the message of making the right choices. The students put their good conscience choices into action by helping others in their community. Throughout October, students participated in the “We Scare Hunger” food drive

Halloween Dress-Up/Non-Uniform Day

On Halloween, Mountain View's students and staff had the opportunity to get into the Halloween Spirit by dressing up in a costume! Students in each classroom participated in engaging, halloween or fall themed activities!
