It is an Almadina annual tradition to celebrate the legacy of hope that Terry Fox has left behind for millions of cancer patients and their families. His Marathon of Hope inspired our whole country to continue fundraising efforts devoted to cancer research. To date, over $650 million has been raised in support of this great cause! Almadina staff, students, and families have been enormous contributors over the years.
On Friday, September 29th, all students participated in our school Terry Fox run. We worked hard to raise money for this great cause. As a reward for all the student’s generosity and selflessness, students who donated at least $2.00 will get to put their name in a draw for a chance to pie their favourite teacher! Additionally, whole classes who raise the most, will win a free gym period and the student who raises the most money will win a Terry Fox t-shirt and get to be principal for a day!
Thank you to parents, families, and friends who donated to our Terry Fox Fundraiser. Every little bit counts in the worldwide fight against cancer. Here at Almadina, we sure do our part to help the cause!
