On January 30th, Mountain View Campus took part in the Respect Virtue Assembly. Our MCs from 4KY, Momina and Noor, led us through a dazzling display of virtuous songs and stories. Rahaf from 4KY began our assembly in the spirit of reconciliation with the Acknowledgement of the Land.
Next, Mr. El-Rafih, Mrs. Haque, and Mrs. Faye shared their words of wisdom around respect, kindness and caring for mental health. We then had the pleasure of reading a book created by ALL classes at the Mountain View Campus entitled Almadina Loves, Cares, Acts (ALCA). This book is available in our library to read.
We were then excited by the song “It’s Up to You” performed by Mrs. Rollin’s Kindergarten class and Mrs. Kelly’s & Mrs. Yanofosky’s Grade 4 Class. Ms. Khan’s grade 2s and Ms. Vickers’ grade 3s then soothed our worries with their rendition of “Lean on Me”. As the final performance, Mrs. Mahmood’s grade 4 Urdu classes sang “Nanhay Haathon Mein…”
