Dear parents,

December is here and although it is milder than usual, chilly weather is just around the corner. Please remind your child to dress for the weather. Our lost and found is getting filled up with a variety of clothing, water bottles and lunch containers. Please have your child check this area for any missing items.

Our recent parent teacher interviews were a period of reflection and goal setting. Your child’s teacher should have been able to share current achievement and strategies for learning. If you need some guidance in supporting your child, feel free to contact your child’s teacher through the agenda and email. Our staff is ready to share their professional expertise and guidance.

Many parents attended our special Remembrance Day Assembly. It was a time to express gratitude for peace in Canada and to remember the sacrifice involved. Students sang beautiful songs and recited poetry to remember this sacrifice. We also had a veteran discuss the importance of maintaining peace in our daily lives.

Another recent highlight was our book fair. Once again, Ms. Rao organized an amazing event that showcased literacy. Thank you to parents and students for purchasing books. The school gets a credit from the total sales and we reinvest this into the school library. As we head into the holiday season, we wish you all the best.

Happy holidays!

Sincerely,

Shakila Raja
