Support Staff

We recognize the invaluable contributions made by Support Staff. Support Staff positions include: Campus Office Manager, Librarian, Teacher Assistant, and Executive Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools. All support staff are paid on a board approved grid and is competitive with other local school boards.

Education (Teacher) Assistants


Almadina Language Charter Academy is seeking Education Assistants to work at elementary and middle school, kindergarten to Grade 9. The current starting salary is $19.30 per hour per instructional day. Applicants interested in half time are very welcome and are eligible for full benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduation with university education courses and/or diploma. Excellent written and spoken English modeling is essential. Demonstrated behavior management skills and experience working with English Second Language Learners are assets. Communication skills, patience, enthusiasm and flexibility are necessary qualities to be successful in this position.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working under the supervision of certificated teachers you will assist students and teachers in the classroom; motivate and encourage students to participate in classroom activities; demonstrate tasks; prepare and duplicate materials; use technology to support student learning and perform other related duties as directed. You will be responsible for supervision of students in the classroom and during recess and lunch hour.

Substitute Office Manager

 

Almadina Language Charter Academy requires Substitute Office Managers on an on-going basis.

Candidates applying as a Substitute Office Manager should have office management experience in a school setting and strong communication and technology skills.
