On May 30, Almadina students showcased their amazing performances for our year end virtues celebration assembly. It was a packed gymnasium that had many parents standing in excitement as they watched their children perform their favourite virtue songs. Build a Birdhouse Field Trip During March and April the grade 3s had a science build a birdhouse field trip for our building unit. This year Almadina Language Charter Academy raised $4,350 for its annual Ahmed Abbas fundraiser. In memory of Ahmed, donations collected from our community are given to the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Almadina’s free uniform day/ fall fun on October 31st was a great success! Many students and staff chose to dress up in various costumes. We had witches, princess, clowns, superheros and teacher’s dressed up as playdoh. Thank you to all the students and staff for participating and making this day a fun experience for everyone.
November is an important time of year when our classrooms are filled with heartfelt discussions and lessons about the meaning of Remembrance Day. Students took the time to write reflections and poems, as well as create beautiful poppy artwork to commemorate the people, past and present, who sacrificed their lives and fought for our freedom.
On June 7th, 2018, the ECS students celebrated the completion of their first year of school.
